Rabbit control in gardens
Rabbits in gardens can cause an immense amount of damage. Even a small number can munch through plants worth a fortune in a single night. They often dig lawns and undermine buildings as well as chewing wires, pipes and debarking trees. Even large gardens are a small area in terms of what rabbits can travel around in, this often means not only does the area have rabbits living inside but also many others venture in from outside.
With this in mind we often advise rabbit fencing around the perimeter is installed correctly before we cull in the location. If the rabbit fence is erected correctly we can then eradicate all rabbits inside and there won’t be further issues. Some clients are put off by this initial expense and we can offer control but often others will move in, and how quick this happens will be relevant to the population in the surrounding area. In some instances we make semi-regular visits with either ferrets or shooting with a silenced air rifle with night vision to remove problem rabbits.
